Of a night of dancing, you’d never forgotten; it was an artist’s creation of the sound scape, of the beats, the staging of them, the making them real, and the exchange of the energy between a soul of a person and another. One of these artist is called Hans Opolony, who is known to his closest as DJ LukasMoH. And it’s made him the dynamic force in the German electronic music scene – a craftsman of sound, pure passion.
A Small-Town Dreamer with Global Influences
So he was born in a small German town, but LoukasMoH was about a multi–cultural way of the sound and rhythm. American soldiers stationed around definitely helped out the local music scene to have so many different influences. This was the cadence of hip hop that he’d heard during his growing years, but also the earth he stood on, and the basis of his ability to hear a rhythm and make it more.
On top of hip hop, however, he focused on other things. Futue of the musical invention was being planted in his mind during his life with the elective environment around him.
The Love Parade Awakening
In 1994 the spark was in Berlin at the Love Parade. It was a phenomenon that was also a festival that created a generation. Lukas, when the moment awakens him. Thunderous basslines, euphoric melodies and the mass unity of thousands of people dancing together to the same soundtrack.
On that day he found what he was meant to do. But now electronic music was about hearing it and loving it; it was also about making it, and living it.
The Underground Odyssey
LukasMoH went into the underground, and back to Weiterstadt. But he came here to experience electronic music at the actual thing, the illegal raves and secret parties, to swim in the awful ferocity of the actual thing, to feel what the size of electronic music is. Ricardo Villalobos was one of the big ones who had heroised the genre for him and made visible the horizon of the end limit of possibilities of the genre.
Lukas simply got quite experiential in musical education, ranging from the open air bliss of LoveFamilyPark, all the way through the workings of TunnelRave and the electrifying chaos of NatureOne. During finals week, these weren’t the actions of places to party, they were laboritories mixing energy and sound.
Becoming DJ LukasMoH
I started to notice that LukasMoH, namely, had also begun the journey in the DJing world as well, he hadn’t started doing that until into the late 1990’s. He had passion and his insatiable curiosity and tied with sets of sets that were of the very essence of his journey and he had nothing else.
He made music a conversation; between rhythm and melody; between the man and the listener. He covered old Detroit Techno, Deep House, hypnotic and emotional flow between sets, praising dubstep and going back to drum n bass and you didn’t even know it.
Precision Meets Artistry
LukasMoH might not quite be the most creative of designers, but it’s his creative design in precise means which does him apart. As a mechanic working in the special machines sector, he must be precise, be able to think problem solving and paying attention to detail on his day job. These characteristics are reflected in his music. His approach is both technical and artistic: Transitioning however you feel like transitioning, having one layer be having the harmonic melody laying on top of the beats, and laying the beats on top of the harmonic melody.
For Lukas, DJing isn’t just about mixing tracks. This is an experience that can be built. Every beat is deliberate, every beat is planned because when you’re done with it you care about feeling something.
Tracks That Speak Volumes
There’s more to LukasMoH than a DJ, he’s a producer too with a discography to show that if he works at it, he can do it all. Where’s the one that didn’t like it? Chaos.coordinator, weiterstadt is EVERYWHERE. They became tracks to define that sound.
They are each a journey in their production trying to hit that feel up feel down balancing act with their music. It’s not just his music on the room, it’s in the soul and when he’s done the audience takes it home.
Connecting Through #NowPlaying
As the world is so close to, if not already reaching, a point where almost everything isn’t digital, LukasMoH managed to have masterful and ingenious ways to speak to his audience. An example of that is his #NowPlaying social media series where he talks about all the behind the scenes of some new inspirations. We love that.

Despite being from the world wide reach DJ LukasMoH Spotify mixes are still released. Connect. That’s what success isn’t about streams or likes for him, it’s about just that. His goal is simple: To get people moving, to get moving in their hearts, and to remember the magic of music.
The Architect of the Dancefloor
DJ LukasMoH is no name on a lineup and a headliner is no boss. He is also a story teller, an architect of experiences and his words and his rhythm and his emotion together, make experiences unforgettable. With the impeccable productions, the fire live sets and only half-jokingly curated playlists to accompany us on Spotify (yes I signed up for their campfire radio,) LukasMoH is moving the game forward.
His melody brings out a world he comes out of his way to describe with every rhyme. Energy and connection and life.
